Biography
Robert Schenkkan has received a Pulitzer Prize, a Tony Award, a WGA Award, a Humanitas Award, and is a three-time Emmy nominated writer. He is the author of twenty plays including All The Way, The Great Society, Building the Wall, and The Investigation. His upcoming work includes Hanussen, which is optioned for Broadway; Old Cock, a collaboration with the Portuguese Theater Company, Mala Voadora; the World Premieres of Bob & Jean: A Love Story, at Arizona Stage, Zach Scott, and Bay Street Theater in 2025; ReCON$truxion, commissioned by Alabama Shakespeare Festival; and a musical, The 12, directed by John Doyle. Robert sits on the Boards of The Orchard Project, The Dramatists Guild National Council, and is a member of the National Theatre Conference. He is also a New Dramatists Alumnus.
