An Evening Celebrating 80 Years of the Basic Program

Join us as we celebrate 80 years of the Basic Program of Liberal Education for Adults. Gather with fellow students, alumni, and friends over dinner as we reflect on  the thriving intellectual community that the Basic Program has built across generations. The evening will feature remarks from Graham School instructor and former Associate Dean Fred Beuttler, a video address from University of Chicago President Paul Alivisatos, and reflections from long-time instructors Joseph Alulis, Elliott Krick (via video), and Cynthia Rutz. Gather with us to raise a glass to 80 wonderful years and many more to come. 

The Basic Program Dinner is the final event of the all-day Liberal Arts and Society Symposium. Guests are invited to attend the symposium, dinner, or both.
