Biography
Kelly Martin recently retired from William Blair & Company, having enjoyed a 33-year career with the firm beginning in 1990. Before retiring, Kelly was Partner and head of Leveraged Finance, Private Capital and Fixed Income Sales and Trading where he managed a range of financing businesses, including leveraged loan arrangement and advisory, high yield origination, private equity placements and fixed income sales and trading. In addition to managing these business units, Kelly retained client service responsibilities advising a diverse array of clients across multiple strategic transactions, including M&A advisory and debt and equity issuance.
Prior to his current enrollment in the MLA Program, Kelly earned an MBA from the University of Chicago (Booth). In addition to watching his four adult children progress through life, Kelly’s interests include hiking the Tetons / Yellowstone, the Chicago theatre scene, sporting clays, Charleston, S.C.
