Biography
Julie Harris (Ph.D. University of Pittsburgh) is a specialist in the art of medieval Iberia who has taught at Northwestern, Skidmore, and other institutions of higher learning. Her most recent publications have appeared in Gesta, Manuscript Studies, Studies in Iconography, and Ars Judaica, and her book on Sephardic ritual objects will be published by Penn State University Press next year. She was recently awarded a Center for Spain in America fellowship at the Clark Institute (Williamstown, MA) and was as a member of an international team of scholars researching the medieval treasures in the Sacristy of Toledo Cathedral.
