Biography
Douglas H. Morrison is a Returning Scholar whose academic journey reflects a lifelong commitment to learning across disciplines. A clinical psychologist and faculty member at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Doug has devoted his career to advancing mental health, medical education, and patient care, with particular expertise in clinical psychology and psychotherapy.
Through the Graham School’s Returning Scholars program, Doug has returned to the University of Chicago classroom to pursue his longstanding passion for the humanities. He has immersed himself in courses in history, philosophy, and the Great Books tradition, embracing the opportunity to engage in close reading, thoughtful dialogue, and rigorous intellectual inquiry alongside graduate students and fellow lifelong learners.
