Biography

Trish Bredar (she/her) is the Assistant Director of Non-Credit Programs. In this role, Trish supports the Graham School’s Open Enrollment, Basic Program, and Travel Study programs. You can contact her at bredar@uchicago.edu.

Trish is an experienced instructor and academic program manager who is passionate about expanding access to higher education. Prior to joining the Graham School, Trish directed Public Humanities programs at Northwestern University’s Kaplan Humanities Institute. She holds a PhD in English from the University of Notre Dame, with a specialization in nineteenth-century British and related literatures.

In her free time, Trish enjoys traveling, both to explore new cities and spend time in nature. Closer to home, she enjoys reading, taking art classes, and exploring Chicago’s restaurants.

Which Graham course would you most like to take and why?

Although I’m tempted to stick with my favorite topic—literature—I would like to expand my horizons by taking some classes in world history. I also wouldn’t mind sampling the full range of Travel Study offerings.
