Biography

Marina Malazoniya is the Associate Director of Events at the University of Chicago Graham School, where she oversees the school’s comprehensive event programming. With extensive experience in cultural and academic programming, she specializes in designing experiences that drive intellectual engagement and foster curiosity.

Prior to joining the Graham School, Marina developed her expertise at the Seminary Co-op Bookstores, a distinguished academic bookstore on the University of Chicago campus. There, she conceptualized and executed public programming that engaged readers, authors, and scholars, contributing to the vibrant cultural landscape of Chicago’s South Side. In a leadership capacity, she created an operational framework that became integral to store-wide operations, streamlining core processes across all departments. Her experience also includes serving as Festival Programming Assistant at the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival.

Which Graham course would you most like to take and why?

As part of her personal and professional development, Marina hopes to complete the Master of Liberal Arts program sometime in the future.
