Biography
Heather has over twenty-five years of experience as an investment professional in the financial services industry. She was most recently with William Blair & Company LLC in their investment management distribution division for twenty-two years where she spent 12 years as a partner.
She co-Chaired the 2021 Annual Money Management Institute’s Distribution Leadership Forum. Heather is a member and past board member of the Women Investment Professionals of Chicago and is an active member of the Executive Club of Chicago. Her designations include Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA); Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF). Certifications: CAIA Association Fundamentals of Alternative Investments; CFA Institute Investment Foundations; University of Chicago, Booth Executive Education, Chicago Management Institute; Northwestern University, Kellogg Executive Education, Corporate Governance Program. She earned her B.A. in Business/Economics at Hendrix College and is currently a candidate for a Master of Liberal Arts degree with a concentration in Ethics and Leadership at the University of Chicago’s Graham School.
Heather is a Trustee of Hendrix College and is a member of the Board’s Audit and Investment Committee. She co-founded the Women’s Leadership Endowment for the students and alumni of Hendrix College to create a network for leadership development programming, career guidance, mentoring, and internships.
She is the Treasurer and Head of the Finance Committee for the Civic Leadership Foundation (CLF), a nonprofit organization serving Chicagoland schools and providing a social-emotional project-based learning curriculum. She received Crain’s Chicago Business’ Notable Nonprofit Board Leaders recognition for her volunteer board work with CLF and the Community Service Award from the Junior League of Chicago.
Heather is passionate about supporting her community. Her volunteer work spans thirty years, including as a past board member of the Springboard Foundation, past Chair of the Investment Committee for the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and was on the Program Committee of the former Sustaining Fellows with the Art Institute of Chicago.
