Biography
Barbara has been in the program since 1988 as a dedicated lifelong learner, completing the Basic Program and taking Alumni Classes throughout the years. In 1998 she earned a Master’s Degree at the University of Chicago, completing her studies in the Divinity School Jewish Studies Program. Upon retirement from a career in Banking in 2016, Barbara has taken classes every quarter engaging in the joy of “pure learning” through rigorous reading of difficult texts. “There are too many great classes to choose only one, but reading Latin American novels to understand dictatorship was a standout that I would do again.”
