Biography
Linda is a licensed architect, having served residential and commercial clients for over 40 years. She has worked on historical renovations of several downtown Chicago buildings including 224 S Michigan, 111 W Washington, 350 N Clark and the Chicago Theater. Civic engagement has included service for JFMC Facilities Corporation/JUF, Civic Ballet of Chicago, Redmoon Theater and the Florence G Heller Jewish Community Center.
As a native Chicagoan, Linda’s relationship to UChicago spans decades. She grew up at “Lab” and later served as project chair for the chapel addition and house renovation of the Johanna and Herman H Newberger Hillel Center. As a parent of two “Lab Lifers,” she undertook several roles and responsibilities in the Parents Association, including the orchestration of annual fundraising and community events.
Linda continues to serve clients in Illinois, Arizona and Texas. She splits time with her husband between Chicago, Michiana and Tucson, where she designed and oversaw construction of their passive solar home amid the Catalinas. She enjoys singing, exploring cities worldwide, art projects and spending time with her adult children who live in Denver and Barcelona.
