Deputy Director of Operations, Chicagoland Workforce Funder Alliance

Cyndi Bergstein is the Deputy Director of Operations for the Chicagoland Workforce Funder Alliance (CWFA).  Over the past six years, Cyndi has focused on “care economy” programs as well as a variety of employer practice change initiatives. 

Prior to joining CWFA and for the past 30 years, Cyndi has used her strong interpersonal and creative abilities in developing several products and brands, strategic non-profit partnerships, and community programs. She has served as a sole practitioner in non-profit environments as well as spearheaded multi-million-dollar marketing campaigns for global corporations such as Walgreens, Nike, and LaSalle Bank/Bank of America.  She believes strong collaboration between businesses and non-profits is essential to enabling workers to flourish and to build our economy.

Cyndi is an active volunteer with multiple non-profit organizations, including as a board member of Honeysuckle Home, a new non-profit pediatric transitional home serving youth with special care needs. She is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for the foster care system and past president of the women’s group of Temple Sholom in Chicago. Cyndi holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Syracuse University.
