For more than two decades, Becky Carroll has served as a key advisor to both private and public sector executives from City Hall and the Illinois Office of the Governor, to Fortune 500 companies and some of Chicago’s most prominent nonprofits and businesses. Becky has held top positions on local, state and national political and advocacy campaigns, including National Director of Women for Obama on the Obama for America 2008 campaign, advisor to Gov. JB Pritzker’s 2018 and 2022 campaigns and most recently as Chair and President of Protect Illinois Communities — a statewide campaign that helped pave the way for the passage of an assault weapons ban in Illinois. As one of Chicago’s top public affairs strategists, she combines political and public sector acumen to develop advocacy, crisis management and communication campaigns that get results, experience she leveraged to found the multi award-winning, strategic communications and public affairs firm C-Strategies Inc. in 2015. In 2023, she was awarded a Gold Stevie award for Communications/Investor Relations/PR Executive of the Year and a PRNEWS Top Women Award for Industry Champion. Becky currently sits on the Board of Directors for numerous organizations supporting underserved communities, including Noah’s Arc Foundation and Envision Unlimited, is a member of leading business and civic organizations, such as the Economic Club of Chicago as a Forums Committee Member, and is an advisory board member of First Women’s Bank and MedGlobal. A lifelong resident of Chicago, she resides with her family on the city’s near west side.
