About the Event

Since 1946, the Basic Program of Liberal Education for Adults at the University of Chicago has engaged lifelong learners in reading, discussing, and building community around foundational texts through small, instructor-led groups.

This autumn, you can begin the Basic Program by joining a new cohort either online or in-person.

Learn more about this rigorous, noncredit liberal arts certificate through this online information session led by Kendall Sharp, Cyril O. Houle Chair of the Basic Program of Liberal Education for Adults.

We will share more about the student experience in a Basic Program classroom, as well as answer your questions and explain how you can get started.
