Creative Writing: Next Steps

This course was available in the past and may be presented again as part of the Open Enrollment curriculum.

This course will advance your understanding of creative writing through lecture, discussion, eclectic readings, in-class and at-home writing exercises, as well as discussions of your own and your fellow students’ written work. This class is discussion based. Be prepared to write in class and be open to sharing work. With a strong emphasis on drafting and strengthening the creative process, this class builds on the techniques and tools covered in Basic Creative Writing. While Basic Creative Writing is not a prerequisite, it is expected that students enrolling in this class have taken a foundational creative writing course at some point.
