What are Ghost Stories About?
This course was available in the past and may be presented again as part of the Open Enrollment curriculum.
Well... ghosts. But what else? How do the presence of ghosts inflect the stories we tell about ourselves? This course approaches such questions through a close reading of classics in the ghost story genre, as well as ghost stories by more prominent literary figures. A subtext of the course will be the relationship between genre fiction and (so called) literature.
