Profile

Roberta Lee holds a BA from Indiana University. After retiring from a career in Information Technology as a programmer, educator and consultant at Sears, she received a Master's degree in Liberal Studies from Northwestern University, which was the start of her lifelong commitment to learning. Her academic journey continued with the Basic Program of Liberal Education at the University of Chicago Graham School. In addition to coursework, Roberta has participated in the travel study programs with Graham to Oxford and Greece. Beyond her academic pursuits, Roberta has remained deeply engaged in philanthropic endeavors, supporting Chicago's cultural and artistic communities, including several theatre groups, The Chicago History Museum and After School Matters. She also cherishes her role as a devoted mother to two sons. When she's not reading for her next class, she can be frequently spotted riding her bike around the lakefront.
