Melisa Wilson
Managing Director and Banker (Retired)
Melisa Wilson, a Managing Director of the Leasing & Asset Finance Group of MUFG Union Bank, N.A, retired after 30 years at the bank. The group provided financing to the Fortune 1000 companies, the renewable power industry and MUFG’s client base. A key member of L&AF team for over twenty years, Melisa previously had been the Head of Planning, Operations and Administration and the “right-hand person” for the group head for seven of those years. Before her elevation to this position, Ms. Wilson as a structured finance team lead was responsible for client management, transaction negotiations and execution as well as credit process management for over $2BN in renewable project financings for top tier energy companies and independent power developers across the United States and in Canada. While based in Japan, Melisa co-led, executed and closed a multi-lateral financing for a South Asian power plant owned by a Fortune 500 company.
Melisa currently is, among other things, volunteering at the Smithsonian Associates and at the Los Angeles Arboretum, serving as a Board Member and CFO for the Friends of the Public Library in South Pasadena, California, judging on behalf of the National Speech and Debate Association, and in her free time is traveling overseas and stateside including to Chicago where her daughter attends University of Chicago.
Melisa holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and business from UCLA and a M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. She also completed the Kellogg Graduate School of Management Executive Program at Northwestern University.
