Dilnaz Waraich
President, WF Fund
Dilnaz Waraich is the President of the WF Fund, a national leader in uplifting marginalized communities in education, human services, and religious pluralism. She is a philanthropic advocate, community organizer, educator, and interfaith activist with more than three decades of experience in relationship building, cultural sensitivity facilitation, spiritual engagement activities, and civic empowerment. Her experiences as a Chicago Public School student and an elementary teacher have impacted her daily work. She was instrumental in establishing the Community Collaboration Initiative, Year of Learning, and Muslim Collaborative Prizes; all of which were part of a three-year community-based action research project hosted by Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
Through Dilnaz’s work with cross-functional teams and external partners, she has a proven track record of personal, impactful, and community led engagement. She is a fellow for National Center for Family Philanthropy (NCFP), co-chairing multiple giving campaigns, Trustee at the Catholic Theological Union, Board of Visitor at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and engaging in hospital chaplaincy work at the local hospital. As a fellow for NCFP, the WF Fund has curated a national storytelling showcase titled, “Inspired Generosity” that shares powerful stories from the black and brown Muslim American community. This living showcase of digital stories, is a curated display that serves in a touring exhibit to various cities till 2026.
