About the Event

Join us to explore the work of Charles Dickens. In this conversation with Graham School Instructor Clare Pearson, we will discuss three of Dickens’ most popular novels: A Tale of Two Cities, Oliver Twist, and Hard Times. Together, we will examine how Dickens mixes probing critique with humor and humanity as he writes about issues from the French revolution to the social conditions of industrial labor. The Conversation will preview Pearson’s upcoming course this winter.
